B&M Marine History

The partnership between Mike Bontoft and Lohring Miller started with an effort to develop the first gasoline engined radio controlled model boat to exceed 100 mph.  Work with models developed into full sized boat projects and larger internal combustion engine efforts.  Currently, B&M has three engine dynomometers for engines from 4 to 700 horsepower.  We have manual and CNC machining capabilities and extensive model boat building and testing experience.  Mike has experience with offshore powerboat engine development as well as the latest aircraft composite construction techniques.
Latest Project

We are restoring the historic offshore powerboat Dry Martini, originally owned by Carlo Bonomi, to race in the 50th anniversary Cowes to Torquay offshore powerboat race.  Another similar vintage offshore boat is being shipped from England for our restoration as well.
